چکیده

Abstract The most medically representative plant in the Apocynaceae family is Vinca minor . a perennial, herbaceous plant, commonly known as Saschiu. In present research we aimed to isolate indole compounds from L. and carry out some physico-chemical studies on these compounds: UV-VIS spectroscopy determination of polyphenols content using Folin-Ciocâlteu method. spectrophotometric study alcoholic extracts obtained leaf stem was performed method VWR UV-630PC double beam spectrophotometer. Both samples had specific absorption maxima detected range 225-350 nm absorbance maximum both cases 3.5 (u.a- absorbency units). total determined by different concentrations: 40%, 70%, 96% (T40, T70, T96, F40, F70, F96) spectrophotometer model JASCO- 550 UV VIS. Regarding L., concentrations were between 812.50 mg / 100g pv 1737.50 case strain, results 1525.00-3962.50 GAE 100 g pv, that accordance with literature.

Pathways of Electrochemical Oxidation of Indolic Compounds

The electrochemical behaviour of indole and a group of indole-containing compounds with a substituent at the C3 position, indol-3-acetamide (IAM), tryptamine, gramine, indole acetic acid (IAA), indole propionic acid (IPA), indole butyric acid (IBA) and tryptophan, was investigated at a glassy carbon electrode, in order to determine their oxidation pathways. Indole undergoes one irreversible pH ...

The Extracellular Indolic Compounds of Lentinus edodes

In macrobasidial fungi, the properties of compounds of a phytohormonal nature, which are well known in higher plants and are intensively studied in soil associative microorganisms, are only described in an unsystematic manner and, apparently, to an insufficient degree. Auxins are the most studied group of phytohormonal substances. As an object of research, along with other mycological objects o...

Bis-indolic compounds as potential new therapeutic alternatives for tularaemia

Francisella tularensis is the etiological agent of tularaemia and a CDC class A biological threat agent. Few antibiotic classes are currently useful in treating tularaemia, including the aminoglycosides gentamicin and streptomycin, fluoroquinolones, and tetracyclines. However, treatment failures and relapses remain frequent and F. tularensis strains resistant to antibiotics have been easily sel...

Spectrophotometric Studies of Penetration

The rate of diffusion through the non-aqueous layer of the protoplasm depends largely on the partition coefficients mentioned above. Since these cannot be determined we have employed an artificial system in which chloroform is used in place of the non-aqueous layer of the protoplasm. The partition coefficients may be roughly determined by shaking up the aqueous solutions with chloroform and ana...
